      <title>ABSTRACT</title>
      <p>Effective communication is crucial for the success of construction operations.  In the construction industry, communication can take various forms, including letters, drawings, symbols, signs, posters, and verbal exchanges, facilitating information transfer among organization members and the public.  This study evaluates the communication strategies between construction workers and supervisors on construction sites.  Using a snowball sampling method, sixty respondents from building sites across Lagos State were surveyed.  Data analysis was performed using SPSS and STATA statistical software.  The findings revealed that construction documents, such as building drawings and other construction materials, were the most highly ranked communication tool, followed by collaborative communication during planning and team member relationships.  Discussing project updates with workers and generating daily or weekly reports were ranked lower.  The study highlights the importance of effective communication in achieving project goals and ensuring high-quality delivery.  Recommendations for improvement include training workers in communication practices, promoting exemplary leadership from site supervisors, and integrating digital technology tools such as building information modelling, artificial intelligence and data collection applications.</p>
