People in human mobility, especially those who are undocumented, face a series of barriers, many of which are related to legal and labor issues and access to decent housing. In the city of Quito, there are situations such as informal rentals without contracts or legal guarantees, which can lead to precarious housing conditions. In this regard, the research analyzes, from the perspective of international human rights standards and the Constitution of Ecuador, how decent housing is accessed in a context of human mobility. To this end, a qualitative approach was adopted using analytical and deductive methods which, through information gathering techniques, made it possible to identify that people in human mobility do not have adequate access to decent housing, face formal requirements that make access to it complex, and reside in precarious places without basic conditions, which means that the State is failing to comply with its obligations under international human rights law.
