The Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (SFEA) offers world-class educational programs that prepare students for the engineering, architecture, and design professions. It includes six departments: Department of Architecture and Design, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, and Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. It also has a Biomedical Engineering Program and offers a Professional Diploma in Green Technologies: Energy, Buildings, Water. Rooted in the liberal education model, its programs also prepare students to be engaged citizens and leaders, entrepreneurs, and researchers who deploy their skills with ingenuity, integrity, and a sense of responsibility towards future generations.

Its Faculty produces transformative knowledge and technology through internationally-recognized research and design, and seeks to leverage the special contexts of Lebanon and the region to define highly novel and relevant research programs. The SFEA Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D.’s Degrees in all fields of civil engineering including structures, materials, transportation, construction, and geotechnical and in environmental and water resources engineering.

The EUROMEDSEC-2 Conference technical sessions will be held within the AUB premises including its lecture halls and conference facilities.
