Quito, Ecuador, March 4-7, 2024

Welcome to LATAM SEC 2024

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

Welcome to the Latin American Conference on Structural Engineering and Construction (LATAM-SEC-2024), which will be hosted by the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in March 2024 in Quito, Ecuador. The conference theme is "Leading Construction Technology Systems for Today's Environmental and Social Crises."

LATAM-SEC 2024 is the first SEC conference to focus exclusively on Central and South America. It is an opportunity to learn about what is going on in the region and around the world while meeting new people! The conference is devoted to scientific exchanges among participants and is intended to maximize interactions while also encouraging networking and future collaborations. Encouraged by the overall success of the ISEC Conference series, the Conference aims to bring together current academic research and development studies and initiatives, as well as industrial practices in all aspects of structural engineering and construction. It will include one day of pre-conference activities, two days of concurrent technical sessions and a banquet, a day of technical tours, and a cultural tour.

Quito, located in the Andes in the heart of Ecuador and in the center of the world, was one of the first UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites (1978). the route leading to the Galapagos Islands, the Amazon rainforest, and stunning beaches and volcanoes. If you have any questions, please email the ISEC Secretariat at isec.sec@gmail.com or contact the local organizing committee.
